America has in my eyes had a long history of “country first”. Like to hold your hand over your heart during the playing of the national anthem. Or to stand in attention whenever a flag is being raised or lowered. They are symbols of Country and not of self. Anyone who disrespects that also disrespect all those who came before and who laid it all on the line so that we would have the change to respect it in our time. I would not be caught dead disrespecting the flag. In fact, I stood up for the playing of our national anthem during the olympics. A bit too much you say? Not for me. In for a penny in for a pound.

But as always there are those who don’t see matters that way. They don’t understand that “we” Americans value the flag and the other things. I always say that Character is doing the right thing when no one is watching. Sadly some people can’t display good Character even when they want us to be looking. Take a look at this video and if you get as mad a heart broken as I do, take some action. It is for the Flag, the Country and all those who came before us.
