Loving tender care

May 24th, 2006

Jacob and his new buddy Cama. Today Jacob and daddy went to the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital to see his therapist Cama. She is helping him work his neck muscles as they are uneven due to having his head tilted over to one side inside the belly. All is well though and it will be totally normal in a few months.

Little Drummer Boy

So why is the drum kit in the hallway? Because when you are 5 and want to be noticed, it pays to be loud.

The Human Cork

May 19th, 2006

Just like the old man, Alexander has some big lungs. Something we all knew from his crying as a baby but something that none the less has been reaffirmed during swim class. After each class they dive for some rubber toys and Alexander is having one heck of a time getting down to the bottom as he floats way too good. I recognize this well, both myself and my father before me had the same issue. We had to let out air in order to sink. So although this is hardly news, I thought I pass it along for your reading enjoyment. :)

Introducing RainedOut.com

May 10th, 2006

I am very proud to introduce RainedOut.com. This service has been a few months in the making and is based on the Omnilert.com service we launched last year. The new service is aimed at organized youth sports in particular, but can be used by anyone who ever has reason to cancel and event does to weather or location change.

RainedOut.com allows players and parents to receive cancellation notices directly to their cell phone, no matter where they are. Imagine the time saved, when you get the message while still at the store and you no longer have to rush to make it to the game on time. Now in fact, you can use the hour and a half you just got dropped in our lap to get little Johnny a haricut. Read the rest of this entry »

Blackberry 8700

Blackberry 8700g

Ok so it is time for another Blackberry. In my opinion a great looking device. I also noticed that it sports an Intel Processor and that it worth noting. Intel has gotten really good at making “cool” (as in not runnign hot) and battery friendly processors for its mobile line and nothing can be more mobile then a Blackberry.

You can read more about it here: Blackberry 8700

The Safe Side DVD

As the father of a 5 year old I totally get the product “The Safe Side”, created by Julie Clark of Baby Einstein fame and John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted. This DVD is a MUST if you have young kids. In the best way I have ever seen, they make it fun and cool to be safe. Think about that, fun and cool = safe??? How can this be? Well you will have to see for yourself. If you buy one DVD this year, make it The Safe Side and keep your kids safe and sound. Read the rest of this entry »
