Internet Killers

June 20th, 2006

About 95% of all email I get is spam and I get about 500 comment spams on other blogs I have per day. The way I see it we would be able to have 95% better internet if not for spam. We have to do something about it.

I am working on something that might fix the problem with email, but it would in fact kill email as we know it in the process. Not to worry though, I have a plan for how to migrate. So the question is, kill email to save the internet or just let things get worse? I am taking action now. Follow me!

Ruby on Rails

June 12th, 2006

Dude! Ruby on Rails is some cool stuff. I have been developing software since college back int he early 80’s and I have not been this excited about something since my first Basic app on a Apple II (C even I think). Ruby is a very cool language in and of itself, but together with Rails it totally rocks. It is all about making Web Applications and making them fast. But wait there is more. Not only fast, but more robust then most as it inforces the MVC design model and provides some outstanding testing features.

Any one who has been doing PHP for a while and especially if you want to move into Ajax, should take a look at Rails. I have not seen anything that makes it as easy to get good Ajax apps going. Check it out.
