Only in Sweden

August 29th, 2006

Ok so you have by now heard me rant on how bad it is in Sweden these days. This will take the cake though. The idea that everything is someone else’s problem has spread to even the 911 folks. A 39 year old pregnant woman felt sick and called for and ambulance no less then 3 times. Yes 3 times. Each time she was told she did not qualify to get it. Qualify I can hear you say. Well it would appear that one has to be properly hurt in order to get help. Well she got none and was found dead in her house 24 hours later. Now you would think this would spark something but instead the boss of the 911 center simply said. “Well it is a sad case, but we are not a taxi service”. What? Come again? Taxi service? Ok so if the lady had called with a broken toe nail I would agree, but when she in fact died from her need, does that “still” qualify as a taxi request. For the love of God!!! If you don’t qualify for an ambulance when you in fact die, when do you?

This is going on all the time. It has gone to hell over there and nobody knows how to think anymore. So next time you want the Government to do everything for you, please remember this. It is really simple, You get paid to have a “responsibility”. When you do, it works. When you get paid and are not “responsible”, it fails. It is that simple.

Kindergarten, Here I Come!

August 29th, 2006

Today we met Ms. Benson, Alexander’s Kindergarten teacher for the first time and we were all very impressed by her and her class room. Not only will it be a great year because there are only 13 students in the class, but also because going through new challanges without mom and dad is how you grow. I plan to voulenteer as much time as I can. I want to stay tuned to the way they do things at school and if need be, put in my 2 cents as a parent.

Enough is enough

If there is anyone who thinks that socialist nations have better care for their citizens, I beg them to listen to this. I have known for a long time that Sweden - despite its well organized society - has gone to hell in a hand basket. Old people have no help what so ever. The only folks who get any help is the drunks, the lazy and the heaps of refugees that stream in. The average Swede gets nothing. Case in point, my folks have less in retirement then my car payment - combined. My father is 73 years old and still works to supplement their income. But wait, it gets worse. Much worse. e2Campus is on a roll

August 16th, 2006

We are putting on some new big name customers and the press is taking notice. Take a look at this nice article in USATODAY.com. If you are not familiar with the service, please head on over to www.e2campus.com and have a look. I think this one has some legs and as one of the founders I guess I am pretty proud.
