NASA here I come

January 29th, 2007

Was down at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center today. Almost time for me to hit it a few times a week as part of the BCG Wireless work. That will be fun.

Loud ass parents

January 28th, 2007

Alexander plays soccer and let me tell you, there is nothing more messed up then a parent who tells his kid what to do on the first non-stop throughout the whole f-ing time. I mean let it go dude! Is the kid doing stuff because you tell him or on his own? based on how well the kid listened when the parent told him to come and get a drink, I think all the broadcasting the dad did had 0% effect on the kid and 100% effect in pissing me off.

It is one thing to help your kid with more clear instructions or just tell him he did ok, but don’t screw up my day because you can’t shut up. For those who know my cranky side, it was no small effort on my part to not a) say something nasty and b) smack the dude altogether. Makes me not want to come back, but I will not have that motor mouth drive me away. Nope, if need be, I will just have to resort to items “a” and “b” above.

As posted below, I got a new BlackBerry the other day and I finally got around to checking out the camera. In low light situations it is not too good, but I am pleased with the daytime results. Keep in mind, it is only 1.2 megapixels.
And as always, my trusted model is eating doughnuts. :-)

CrossLoop

January 26th, 2007

Now this is cool. For those in the bunch who are providing technical support for your friends and family, this might be the best thing ever. A quick way to do secure desktop sharing. Each party download the client app. One is a host and one is client. Next thing you know, you are both able to do desktop sharing and that is cool.

Take a look at CrossLoop and see for yourself.

My new Blackberry Pearl

January 25th, 2007

Gang,

just got a new toy. After some looking around I grabbed a Blackberry Pearl from Cingular and it is really nice. Not much bigger then my Razr and a bunch more good stuff.

Having been involved with RIM and Blackberry for over 10 years, I had to try it and once again I think they have done a really nice job.

Testing BlogJet

I have installed an interesting application - BlogJet. It’s a cool Windows client for my blog tool (as well as for other tools). Get your copy here: http://blogjet.com
